About NYFSA

 

 

The New York Film Student Alliance, also known as NYFSA, began in January of 2014 from the passion and drive of New York State college and university students.  The purpose of the NYSFA is to bring together students from the dozens of New York universities and colleges from Long Island to Niagara, the Adirondacks to the Southern Tier, and all points in between, which are offering production majors or minors in film or TV production.

 

 

The New York Film Student Alliance is an academic and professional alliance of New York State students. The alliance offers its members the opportunity to gain knowledge, understanding, experience, and artistic growth in relation to the film and telelvision industries on a local, regional, and statewide level, within the State of New York.

 

 

The New York Film Student Alliance provides its members with  access and interaction to fellow New York State student members, along with film industry professionals through mediums such as conferences, panel discussions, social media, and newsletters.

 

 

The New York Film Student Alliance provides its members film and telelvision related opportunities supported by industry professionals including screenwriting, pre-production, post production, film, television, film festivals, award ceremonies, and much more.
